“Come”

Verse of Concentration: Matthew 11:28

Jesus said, “Come unto Me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden,

and I will give you rest”.

A WORD FOR THOSE WHO STRUGGLE WITH A PAST! First let me say…”we’ve all had one”! We have all wrested with something…though it may not always be the same challenge. Your wrestling may not be the same as mine, or of someone close to you, but regardless of the wrestling…we all have been given a way of escape!

Thank God…no matter what…He still calls us, even with a past. He reaches out and says “get up…and COME to Me”. Regardless of what a person has done, or what kind of abuse one has suffered, know…He still calls. We may think our secret is worse than anyone else’s. But rest assured that He knows all about it and still draws us to Himself with a sincere and earnest plea.

No matter how difficult life may seem, people with a past need to make their way to Jesus. Regardless of the obstacles within, we must reach to Him. You may have violated someone or been violated…you may have committed a great sin…you may have done some things that you are not proud of…but don’t cease to reach out to Him. You don’t have to tell others your entire history. Just know that He calls, on purpose, individuals with a past. He knows your history, be He’s calling you anyway.

New Normal: Release the past and press forward to the One who secures your future. Respond to the plea and just “COME”.
